The Glyptodont is one of the Fearsome Critters that were told in tales by the lumberjacks of the emerging USA in the late 19th century and early 20th century. It is a marsupial having a pouch on its belly which it uses to store rocks.

Each day after lunch, the beast pulls out one rock from its pouch and places it on a boulder. The beast then spins round gathering momentum and finally hits the rock of the boulder with its tail in an attempt to hit a target tree. If the rock hits the tree, the beast jumps for joy. If it fails to hit the tree with the rock, it would hit the ground with its tail and howl in disappointment.
